1Worst Wax ever  May 18, 2010
I wrote a review for this wax a few minutes before but I have no idea why is not showing up. This is the first review I give for a product.
I have been waxing myself for a little more than 10 years and i have never had any problem with it..... until I got this wax. Although it was my first time using this TYPE of wax I followed the instructions thoroughly but to no avail!!
First of all, the wax is a total mess, it is super sticky, after using it for the first few minutes my hands were all sticky and covered with rests of muslin strips threads.
Second, I spent a lot of time trying to get rid of all the sticky wax that was in my hands and near them.
Third, this type of wax not only gets rid of your hair, but also of your skin!! I have three big bruises and they are very painful!
Fourth, I SPENT SO MUCH TIME trying to finish waxing my legs (only the legs!!) but i still didn't finish, or else I would have stayed 2 more hours trying to take out the rest!!
The whole thing was an odyssey for me!!
After all this mess, I concluded that never again i'll try to use the sticky type of wax that needs strips, instead i'll continue using the only type of wax that has never failed me and has been my loyal companion for more than 10 years: hard wax!!
For those who want to get rid of their unwanted hair and not their skin (getting unwanted bruises), I recommend to use hard wax. Believe me, it won't leave you bruises and won't be a mess.
I dont know who invented this specific type of wax. Sticky wax= big failure

5Weekly user  Mar 12, 2010
I have been using this product for a little over two years. I'm half italian and half polish. It does a great job removing the hair with very little effort. A few items a must have.

Baby oil $1 at the dollar store- towel (we all have extra ones we don't use laying around) - old wash cloth (doesn't matter if it was used for dishes as long as it is washed and you don't plan on using it for dishes again)

I wax either on the towel, (after so many drops of wax I just throw the towel away and use a new one).
When I do it on the floor, I coat the floor with baby oil. (Does not stick if you miss your intended area.
Old wash cloth - after waxing I coat my legs (or intended parts) with baby oil, rub it in and take the old wash cloth to soak up any excess oil on my legs while it removes any extra wax.

I will recommend going to a salon to have it done first. I tried it on my own before going to a salon, didn't work, once I saw their techniques I have been doing it at home ever since.

I had to shave every other day. Using this stuff, I can go about two weeks in the summer and 2-3 months in the winter. (My hair grows FAST! My friends when they use it last 4-6 weeks)

The little extra's
If you have delicate skin, try it on a little spot first. Each person's skin is different.
Pull close to the skin. Don't rip the strip up to the sky. Yikes that does hurt.
Baby oil, It's cheap at the dollar store and it will save you a lot of aggravation.
Towels - if you don't have any, if you have newspapers. Works just as good. Or maybe old blankets.
Now for me that cream you can buy to take off the wax does not work for me. But that is just me.
Always remember to put a collar on the container. That saves extra work for when you have an oops.
The next day, put lotion on your legs. It will help bring back the moisture and give it that healthy glow. Lotion of your choice.

4Works but messy  Jan 22, 2010
Ok so this really does work. However, it is messy as hell!!!!! Make sure u have the area covered because if there's any spills u can clean up easily. I read another persons review and she mentioned how hard it is to get it off even with GIGI's wax off. I would say she is totally right! I bought the same thing instructions: apply, smooth with finger tip to lift wax then use a paper towel. Well what I have to say is WRONG. The wax like adheres to the dam ointment and then its like a wax glove is over your hand. Best thing to use is cold cream, it takes it right off!

5Consistent product with good results  Dec 26, 2009
As a cycling team, we have to remove all the hair on our legs during the racing seaason. We accompllish this in one of two ways: Shaving and Waxing. While most of the guys shave, there are a few who wax, because it lasts so much longer and is not nearly as painful as the constant nicks one gets from shaving.

The product is consistent, reasonably priced and can be used in most areas. We've never had any problem with it removing skin or any other difficulties. As with any type of waxing product....Practice makes perfect, and the more you use it the better you become.

It is difficult to wash out of cloth and carpet, so be careful to avoid spilling on rugs, sheets, pillows and the like. Perfect combination of performance and price.
